Halteman Park

Halteman Park, once a private neighborhood pool and park, officially became a city park in the fall of 2019. Partnering with the City of Muncie, Halteman Village Neighborhood Association embarked on a multi-phase revitalization effort in early 2020 to remove the blighted pool facility and transform the site into a viable public recreational resource for local residents of all ages. This collaborative Quality of Place project involving the efforts of many individuals and local organizations represents how successful private-public partnerships can serve to build better neighborhoods and a stronger, more resilient community for future generations.
